Social Contributions
Since Capital Oil Refining Industries was established in 1988, it has been able to contribute socially in its own small way to the needy and the government of Malawi.
Some of the organisations which have benefited from CORI’s contributions are:
Kachere Rehabilitation Unit
This is a non-governmental organisation which gives intensive medical rehabilitation to people who have met with a disabling factor such as stroke, polio and road accidents etc.
Cheshire Homes (feed the children)
This is another non-governmental organisation that takes care of disabled children. The organisation has benefited very much from CORI’s contributions.
Mary View School for the Deaf
Mary view is a school which takes care of deaf & dumb children. The authorities of the school approached the management of CORI for assistance.
Chombo Children’s Home and Samaritan Home
These are also beneficiaries of CORI’s contributions to assist in their feeding programmes for the less privileged orphans and street children.
Safe Home Due to the H.I.V pandemic and the poverty situation in Malawi, there are a lot of children who are just roaming around the streets begging. Safe home is a non-governmental organisation which has decided to look after street children by providing them with good shelter, food and education. |
