Capital Oil Refining Industries Ltd. (CORI) was initiated by Mr. M.F.A. Karim in the early 80’s. The production started in 1988 and the famous brand ‘Kukoma’ was born. It enabled CORI to mark its presence in Malawi as pioneers in the edible oil field. The Vegetable Oil Plant was set up for the processing of cotton seeds and sunflower seeds which are crushed and triple refined to produce quality cooking oil.
